Rosie Walsh

I am a writer and former documentary producer. THE MAN WHO DIDN'T CALL (UK title) / GHOSTED (US title) is my first novel written in my own name; under the pseudonym Lucy Robinson I have written four other books.

You'll find many echoes of my own life in GHOSTED / THE MAN WHO DIDN'T CALL. There's the secluded network of valleys surrounding Stroud, Gloucestershire, where I grew up; the heave and groan of the cities in which I've lived and worked, and of course the miserable experience of meeting someone with whom I thought I had a transcendental alchemy . . . only to spend the next two weeks staring at my (silent) phone. We've all been there.

Luckily, I met a man who did call. I live with him in Bristol, UK, with our son. Before having a baby I played violin in an orchestra, I did yoga and dancing and running, I volunteered at a literacy charity and was really into cookery, coastal walking and theatre. Most of my time now is spent fantasising about lie ins and a clean kitchen.
